Judicial Terrorism

It’s not enough that the Florida justice system caved to threats of racial terrorism by the Grand Trifecta of grievance-mongers Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Benjamin Crump(officials down there apparently didn’t learn their lesson back in 2006 when this band of race hustlers brought their show to town in a similar case).

No, now that a verdict of “not guilty” has been rendered unto George Zimmerman by a jury of his peers, it seems that the Federal Justice system just can’t let it go – apparently the only way that the system can “work” is if the Justice department gets the politically correct verdict in a case which they have actively been working behind the scenes to manipulate.

So now Eric Holder has decided to throw the entire weight of the federal government on a man who should be allowed to live his life in peace.  And since there never was a case to begin with, he is having to use the most underhanded means possible to dig up dirt on this unassuming American citizen:

On Monday afternoon, the US Department of Justice appealed to civil rights groups and the general public across the country for “tips” on George Zimmerman in their pursuit of potential federal civil rights charges against the just-acquitted defendant in the Trayvon Martin killing. The DOJ actually went so far as to set up an e-mail address to allow such tips: Sanford.florida@usdoj.gov.

Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law told the Orlando Sentinel that the DOJ had held a Monday conference call “calling on us to actively refer anyone who had any information” that would help build a case against Zimmerman. “They said they would very aggressively investigate this case,” Arnwine stated.

According to Arnwine, the call began at 3:30 p.m. with Tom Perez, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States DOJ, and representatives of the FBI on the line. Several prosecutors joined the call, too.Arnwine listed off other organizations represented on the call, including the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the ACLU, and several “human relations” groups.

In case Mr. Holder has forgotten, let me remind him that the Zimmerman trial WAS NOT a civil rights trial, it was a self-defense trial. In fact, in the eyes of the jury, race was never an issue.

I realize that Mr. Holder views a majority of the country with contempt and disdain – he has made no secret of that. In fact, he went so far as to call us “a nation of cowards” very early in his tenure as the head of the very department that is charged with seeking justice for ALL Americans, not just “his people“.

I have no doubt that Mr. Holder (and his boss) had some very lofty speeches planned for the end of the Zimmerman trial – in their minds there could only be one outcome – it’s just too bad for them that six ordinary citizens understood the law better than these “educated” people ever will.

Unfortunately for Mr. Holder (and his boss), those pretty speeches will never be heard; they will never be able to tell us what unworthy bigots/racists we are, or how we are finally getting our comeuppance. No, now the petty, vengeful retribution – typical of not only those determined to save face but also of spoiled children who don’t get their way – is beginning.

I have a feeling Mr. Holder doesn’t realize that he just bit off more than he can chew.

Because a whole lot of ordinary citizens – myself included – have had enough. Some of us plan to exercise our very own form of “Civil Disobedience” by overwhelming Mr. Holder’s snitch line with all sorts of helpful “tips”.

In the process, perhaps Mr. Holder’s Department of Justice will finally find the time to investigate some of the things that they have been so studiously ignoring; after all, if Mr. Zimmerman’s name MIGHT be linked with some of these things, they will surely have to look into them, right?

So here’s my “contribution” for Mr. Holder (hey – if he’s going to waste my hard-earned tax dollars, I figure I might as well get some enjoyment out of it):

Dear DOJ,

Wow.  Judicial terrorism from our own government.

Dudes…..get over it already.
You had no case, it never should have been brought to trial.
Six jurors found Mr. Zimmerman “not guilty” of the charges brought against him.

Enough with the witch hunt.
You just woke the sleeping giant, and yes – we ARE filled with a terrible resolve.

And as for Mr. Zimmerman?

He may have attended a Tea Party rally or two a couple of years ago.
Perhaps you would like to forward that information to the IRS as well – I hear those guys like to hassle Tea Party types.

There’s a rumor going around that he might have been running guns to Mexico – a couple hundred Mexican nationals got killed, as well as a Border Patrol agent or two.  There’s bound to be some foreign policy violations tied up in that one – I would suggest that you involve the ATF, but I hear they might have been a wee bit involved in that scheme, so you might want to tread lightly.

I also heard rumors that he might have been in Washington, D.C. when the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was being overrun – I seem to recall we lost an ambassador and a couple of Navy Seals in that one; maybe you can pin their deaths on him, too.  You’ll want to talk to the State Department about…..oh, wait – I think they might have dropped the ball on that one.  Ooopsies.

Last time I checked, this is still the United States of America.

Mr. Zimmerman is protected by the Constitution, as is every other American citizen.
You guys don’t get to go on a fishing expedition without just cause; you sure as hell don’t get to harass someone because six ordinary Americans saw through your little scheme to subvert the Rule of Law.

The system worked.
It happens.
Get over it.
Move along.

Leave Mr. Zimmerman alone.
